It was one good read, one of those you just can’t put down. Unfortunately I was busy and had to, so it took me a few days. Aunt Betty was one of those characters you know is trouble and causes chaos throughout. There was a lot of love in this book which I’m always looking for in one way or another. Very well written, and hope there’s another coming one day soon! Thanks Mr.JP Guggia!
jaimeA good read for sure.
This is a wonderful and moving book. The author takes us through generations of a family who left their homeland in Switzerland and tells the story of their struggles while making a life in a coastal agricultural and farming area of California. It’s about the very shocking dark times of family and community , as well as the determination to overcome what would causes many to crumble . I highly recommend this inspiring book which I couldn’t put down once I started reading it.

A hard story of a girl abused by her aunt. A good story of her overcoming so much. A satisfying ending. Read it!

I enjoyed reading Blind-Eye Love written by Joe Guggia. I am originally from the Central Coast where the story was based so it made the story more real to me. I kept rooting for Meadow to turn a hard situation around...I won't spoil the ending but I felt it was a good read!

The book reflects an incredible harshness of life that, in many cases, can end up being the basis of a person’s ability to succumb and also unable to break through the grief and suffering they were exposed to as children. In this circumstance however, these experiences allowed that same person to become a survivor with an increased ability to forgive and accept the weakness that drove the harsh behavior. Very well written and an important resource for replacing hate with forgiveness.

This is one of those books that makes you wonder what's next!? Be sure to read the prologue since it brings up some thought provoking ideas. Btw, if you were born during the years when the hanger and belt were considered common disciplinary items then you will really identify with this poor girl's situation. Hope to see more books from JP Guggia.
Amazon CustomerYou can't read this book without feeling each character's struggle....
Very eye opening story of a family that due to cultural short comings, due literally turn a blind eye to the physical and verbal abuse directed on a child that did not deserve any of it. JP did an admirable job in showing how ignorance and abuse can easily be swept under a rug. Good job, Joe!
